The Affair - Session 20

In this session I was editing location 1 that Ben had finished filming. So far I have done a rough-cut on the first and second location and completed the title page which is in place.

While I done this Ben made a start on our audio soundtracks using Garageband. By the time I have completed the editing fully we plan to have the Garageband soundtracks ready to place into our short movie.

The Affair - Session 14+15

I worked on the shot list and got that all completed during this session. Simply using the storyboard as guidance to complete it.

Once I had completed the shot list I began to work on our title page for mine and Ben's MovieStorm Project. I used Photoshop for this, it's still in working progress.

I plan to get Ben to create a few clips of each character, then I want to have the character walk into the frame of the title page.

The Affair - Session 13

This session me and Ben decided to get the dialogue completed. We went into another room and set-up the microphone, we then had a rogue idea of how to play out the dialogue.

Ben ended up doing the voice for Kevin and we got a girl in our class (Ashleigh) to play Katy (putting on a manly voice - impersonating Steve).

Ben recorded the dialogue into MovieStorm so the characters mimed what they said. I think this has worked fairly well.

For the rest of the session I carried on the rest of the storyboard and managed to fully complete it.

The Affair - Session 8+9

I was working on the storyboard during these sessions and I managed to get it all completed. I had to decide on all of the shot types and angles. I wrote a short description of what is happening in each shot, drawing an image of how it would look for each shot.

The Affair - Session 6+7

I was absent during this session, so while I was away Ben was working on the characters actions in the Directors' view within MovieStorm.

He was focusing on the character actions for 'Set 1' (Location 1). He managed to get the whole of set 1 actions completed during this session.

The Affair - Session 4+5

In these two sessions my main aim was getting the treatment completed. I managed to complete half of this by the end of the sessions. I was writing up our overall story, deciding on our target audience, equipment needed and roles.

Our target audience was decided to be 15+ due to the violent scenes in our project. It was also aimed at more teenagers to young adults, generally people who watch short films, where I think it would be most ideal for a Youtube audience.

The Affair - Session 2+3

During this session I focussed on writing the script for our MovieStorm project. While I generated the dialogue, moods and such Ben was continuing with the settings and character sheets.

During these two lessons we managed to get all of our tasks complete.
